Due to updating car....!
For sale, Sheane MK1 Formula Vee race car in excellent condition. Bought in early 2009 this car underwent a full restoration where it was stripped right down to the bare chassis and rebuilt with all new parts. Everything also underwent a re-spray.
When we bought the car had the following new parts just recently bought for it.
• New front beam
• New discs and pads
• New brake master cylinder
• Lightweight midland wheels
• New Spax adjustable front shock absorbers
• New AVO rear adjustable shock absorbers
• The tyres had only done 3 races
• Engine and heads totally rebuilt (Only done 1 race and 1 test day)
• Reconditioned heads with SCAT swivel ball style adjusters, racing isky valves and springs.
• New Lambda sensor
• New seatbelts
• New SG gear change system
• Electronic rev limiter
• New fuel pump
• New red top race battery
• New detachable steering wheel
• New steering rack
In the summer of 2010 the car got a full strip down. Work done as follows:
• Chassis fully rubbed down, undercoated and painted
• Engine cleaned and painted
• Gearbox stripped down, cleaned and rebuilt using all new seals etc
• All suspension components including front beam re-painted
• Brand new ball joints fitted on all anti roll bar drop link arms
• Brand new exhaust silencer fitted
• All exhaust pipes heat wrapped
• Carbs stripped and rebuilt
• New seat made
• New carbon effect dashboard with digital lap timer
• Brand new green stuff front brake pads
• Brand new rear brake drums and shoes
• In house designed air side ducts for cooling
• Professionally made catch tank
• Boxed in master cylinders (Regulation item)
• New wiring loom
• Brand new light weight race starter motor
• New fuel lines
• New fuel filter
• New throttle cable
• New clutch cable
• New hub seals
• Car then sent to AHS for a full rolling road tune up and carb set up
As you can see this car has had everything spent on it regardless of cost. The seatbelts are in date until the end of this season/year. The only 2 jobs required doing are the fire extinguisher and the rear brake pipes need replacing as one has developed a leak. Apart from these 2 minor jobs this car is ready to race. There is also a spare nose cone with the car. The car has only competed in 2 races at Oulton Park October 2nd 2010 since the rebuild was done.
